Chloroma in Chronic Myelocytic Leukemia

Abstract
The first reported case of chloroma was probably that of Burns who in 1823 described a patient with proptosis and green retro-orbital tumors.
The tumor is a very rare malignant green colored tumor arising from myeloid tissue associated with myelogenous leukemia and characterized histologically by relatively uniform population of immature cells and is frequently misdiagnosed as one of the poorly differentiated malignant lymphoma.
The authors recently experienced a unusual variant of myeloid malignancy occurring in distal tibia of young woman patient with chronic myelocytec leukemia, which was diagnosed as chloroma. The case review is presented.
